Heather & Paul are seriously chill people. I doubt everyone would describe them that way, but a camera has a way of revealing the true essence of people when no one else is looking. They are passionate about work and healing and caring for those they love, but when it comes to each other they get to be relaxed, understood, totally calm. In their engagement post I talked a little about the crazy schedule they’ve been operating under for the last year – finishing medical school, matching together, moving to Kansas City and planning a wedding in Wisconsin. So when Ellen set out to capture their wedding day back in June I wasn’t sure if they would get to enjoy a day as chill as they are, but the pictures captured a day spent perfectly together – surrounded by friends and a little sunshine and beach, they got the day they hoped for during daydream breaks from studying and packing and moving.
Little details and special moments stand out for me and most undoubtedly for them – members of the bridal party sang and played the piano at the reception, Paul’s family huddled up and got teary eyed and their friends danced and dipped and toasted them true. They spent time just the two of them at sunset and all in all it was sunny, beautiful, chill: everything a summer Wisconsin wedding should be. Congrats Dr. Heather & Dr. Paul!
