Ellie & Bailey |Discovery World Pavilion August Wedding

I first met Ellie through her rock star sister Abby, whose wedding we photographed a few years ago. Upon meeting Abby & Ellie’s family I was instantly smitten with every member of the fam as being around them feels like a warm hug or hanging with favorite cousins, or maybe like sitting around a campfire with the perfect music and several rounds of s’mores. So when we were asked to photograph Ellie’s wedding to her long time best friend & fiance Bailey I was instantly on board but also very curious to meet the man who could be a match for Ellie, much less Ellie’s whole family. It turns out Bailey & Ellie met in high school at camp and have been a part of one another’s families for years. YEARS. As I heard many times during their welcome party and wedding day, the two of them had certainly grown up together, so their wedding was more of a formal & ritual declaration of something that both families had already accepted and love about these two: Ellie & Bailey are meant to be. They found each other early in life and it turns out Bailey’s family is as warm and wonderful as Ellie’s. So on their wedding day it was all hands on deck (and I mean ALL – siblings, grandparents, family friends and two sets of very enthusiastic parents!) to celebrate and shepherd, to join and rejoice, to tie these two together in every way possible. It was a weekend of joy and we were honored to be a part of it.
