Owen’s Mama and Papa | Milwaukee maternity photography

When these photos were taken Owen was still in his mama’s tummy and he was maybe an Owen, maybe an Austin. In the very few weeks since then he’s come into the world (decidedly an Owen) and his mama and papa are in the first days of exploring life together as a family of three. I’ll be photographing Owen and his Beatles-inspired nursery in the next week or so, but I wanted to share these as a snapshot of how quickly life changes and grows, and surprises us all with how sweet it always was and will be.

This mama and papa are goofy and fun and a little retro. To really show them off we played on the big hill by their home on a warm July day and I focused my camera on them, as a couple and as individuals, so that as Owen grows and fills the center of their world they can always look back to when it was just them, a perfect pair, and know that it takes a great love between two to make a family possible.
