From the moment Brandy contacted me I knew exactly what things in life were important to her: her fiance, her daughter, their house and their three big, lovable dogs. They both have impressive resumes – she’s a lawyer and he’s a veterinarian – but their path to finding one another and then turning to walk a path together is the story that lives on the tip of Brandy’s tongue and the one that she writes about when she puts pen to paper. Brandy journals and writes and has a romantic soul – and magically, impossibly, perfectly, she met her opposite, her mate, her match…on Match. They were both states away from their respective homes in Texas and Wisconsin when they met online while in grad school in Missouri. I can tell by the way she writes about their love story that she had already lived a lifetime before she met him, working through school and mothering her adorable daughter. But, little by little both their lives changed shape and tenor as he took her on dates, mowed her lawn, attended her graduation and got to know Kaylie. And then came Deuce and Rosco and Reese, the house, the farm, and fresh starts together as a family in the middle of Wisconsin. Ellen captured these images of them at home on their land late last fall and she’ll be there again this summer when they tie the knot in Madison.
