One of the best parts about being a photographer is getting to follow the new lives of little people from in the belly to their first few days of life to growing up big and strong. And smiley and sweet and happy. For Sahana’s 6 month session (turned 7 month session waiting for the perfect day) I met her parents on Milwaukee’s sunny, glistening lake front and Sahana showed off all her new tricks – from giggling to little steps to cuddling with mom and dad. I’m a sucker for frilly outfits and cultural dress so I insisted that Sahana try on and model all sorts of cuteness, from cotton gingham to silk saris. We wandered and played in the grass along the lake and on a stunningly beautiful peninsula that juts out from the city, all brick and cedar shake with a view of Milwaukee’s iconic art museum.
