Tamara & Mike planned an exquisitely stylish wedding on the shores of Lake Michigan and they got their dream day – perfect skies, a gorgeous sunset, smiles all around and enough laughter and story telling to make them both blush. I met them at the Pfister where they had adjoining rooms in the big circular tower. Surrounded by hand drawings, a little bit of gilded age drama, and a very “Tamara” palette of pale blues and gold, they each dressed and laughed with friends. They stepped out just a few minutes apart and met on the steps of the federal building as Tamara’s mom and sister watched from afar. She twirled and he smiled; they spent a few quiet moments together on the edge of a very busy day.

They kept their wedding party small – just family – and they opted to toast to family and friends at Bartolotta’s Harbor House before saying I Do. Then they tied the knot in the long vaulted concourse at Pier Wisconsin. Tamara is in obstetrics which might explain, in part, all the babies and toddlers and kids that watched her walk down the aisle, but their attendance is probably owed more to the fact that Tamara and Mike have many, many great friends with kids great enough to invite to a wedding. Mike and Tamara laughed their way through the ceremony, giddy to be becoming Mr and Mrs and honestly, completely thrilled to be one another’s. After sweeping into the big tent on the lawn Tamara and Michael toasted their guests and danced the night away. Cheers to one of my favorite weddings of the year.
