Lincoln Andrew has a big name and a tiny body. At just a few days old I met him at home with his delighted parents and little Eleanor who by all accounts, is doing very well as a new big sister. Named for his grandmother (her maiden name was Lincoln) and father (they share Andrew as a middle), Lincoln slept his way through our session, but his sweet cheeks, coos and smiles told us that he was listening when dad talked or mom called his name. Eleanor was wide eyed and cautious around him, but happy to share a kiss and her daddy’s lap when asked to do so. You will see as much of the people in Lincoln’s life in this post as you will see of him. It just seemed fitting that these photographs show him at his sleepy best, but that they also strive to document a momentous life change for the people (and dog) around him. I photographed Eleanor when she was a baby and now to capture her family grown robust and full is gratifying; as a fivesome they seem better, something already brilliant somehow made more perfect by Lincoln’s arrival.
