In many ways Hanna & Joe were part of one another’s family for a long time before their seriously lovely wedding day on Okauchee Lake. Their parents were long time couple friends and I got the sense that the wedding of their children was a dream come true for everyone involved. Tears flowed throughout the day for different reasons: Moms marveled at Hanna’s beauty and Joe’s dashing good looks and family welled with pride when toasts referenced Joe and his two brothers’ mutual service in the active armed forces. Friends wiped away tears as Hanna silently offered a rose in memory of her father, a rose that echoed the hundreds, maybe thousands Joe has given her over the course of their love. Everything was simply elegant, soft and romantic while the details hinted at the ease of lounging at the lake. They passed the time between ceremony and reception on a boat with their besties, arriving by water to the Golden Mast Inn, Hanna’s veil blowing in the wind and the smiles on both their faces impossible to resist. The crowd cheered upon sighting them and the night swept them into round upon round of good memories, sincere well wishes, dancing to the tunes of a favorite band and all around graceful beauty.
