Lisa & Nick have been planning their wedding from afar. They moved to southern Illinois for school and work a few years back at this point and their life has taken shape there. When I shot their engagement session last fall at least one of them was commuting an insane distance to work each day and they were….a bit tired. But on their Milwaukee wedding day just a few weeks ago in October I enjoyed the day with a refreshed, relaxed, even happy-go-lucky Lisa & Nick. Their careers are working out and they’ve bought a home, and best of all, they were getting to say I Do to their best friend on the planet. Surrounded by the old world glam of the iconic Pfister Hotel they mixed elegance with wit, asking guests to tell stories instead of clinking glasses, saying thank you with dollar scratch offs before enjoying course after course of delicious Pfister fare, and then surprising everyone (including me!) with an expertly choreographed and performed first dance followed up by ice cream sundaes. I’m so happy for these two hard working, fun-loving, best friends in love. Cheers to you and yours.
