Melanie & Jacob | The Legend of Brandybrook | Wisconsin Country Club Wedding Photographer

Melanie & Jacob were married on an October day where the sun peeked out here and there to warm the skin and the last yellow leaves of fall drifted lazily to the ground. Pops of yellow, accents of gold, tufts of wheat colored creams and cookie dough tan created a sense of jolly warmth when the sun slid behind the clouds and if that wasn’t enough, Jacob happily wrapped his arms around Melanie’s bare shoulders to stave off the wind. From church to country club, Jacob & Melanie have a keen sense of play to go with their good taste in all things bridal, as evidenced by a gleeful trolley that took them from ceremony to reception, a puzzle “guestbook” for guests to sign, groomsmen in crazily patterned socks, a cookie buffet to treat guests during the receiving line and the best man’s speech which included a game of questions answered by raising high a photograph of themselves on sticks. They may not get credit for delivering his hilarious toast themselves, but they picked him to stand beside them on their wedding day and that is credit enough. My dream team of Caca’ and Emily were there to capture every laugh and smile, but also a few sweet tears as Melanie & Jacob saw each other for the first time before the ceremony. With a lake in the background and just the two of them alone at the water’s edge she tapped him on the shoulder and he turned – overwhelmed by everything about her, by everything that was about to happen. She took his hand and they wrapped one another up, already saying I Do before they ever stepped foot down the aisle.
