I’m constantly inspired by the gorgeous weddings I see on Style Me Pretty, arguably the premier style blog for those getting hitched and ultimately, those of us who spend our days (and nights) photographing brides, grooms and all things wedding. So, of course, I am thrilled SMP decided to feature Sarah & Ryan’s much loved Irish Barn Wedding at Whistling Straits on both their Midwest and Little Black Book blogs! This one is going (a tiny bit) viral on Pinterest so you don’t want to miss it if you are planning a wedding yourself.
And in the past few months a couple more weddings have gotten some serious blog lovin’ – from A Northwoods Wedding and Allure Bridals. If you are planning a midwestern wedding and don’t already read A Northwoods Wedding you should start – this blog features real weddings from our region where vineyards and ocean coastlines are scarce but gorgeous lakes, snowy fields and rustic & urban chic environments abound. Case in point: Hanna & Joe’s lake side wedding at Golden Mast Inn. In addition to designing beautiful lacy gowns, Allure Bridals also publishes their own blog where they feature real brides wearing their lovely creations. They featured Dave & Maria (in one of my all-time favorite wedding gowns) and their lake side wedding – also at Golden Mast Inn. There’s something about weddings & lakes that look so lovely together.
