Stephanie & Jay | Milwaukee Wedding & Engagement Photographer

Stephanie & Jay are my kindof people. They love coffee dates and lakeside walks, European beer gardens and travel, Italian cities and (judging by Stephanie’s taste in engagement session clothes) Anthropologie. They live in Minnesota but are traveling to her home state for an October wedding that will reflect a fair amount of those loves and its an understatement to write that we are thrilled to get to photograph it. Before the weather turns and the colors of the leaves with it, we decided to spend a morning in Milwaukee’s Third Ward, a little side trip for them on their way to a summer lake picnic that Stephanie’s family attends every year. Jay was a little shy and not so sure about having photos taken but a big mug of tasty coffee later and he was all in, happy to forget (mostly) that I was there as he took a walk in the Ward’s alleys and along a Lake Michigan beach with the love of his life. The lake was like glass and the light was perfect all day so while October will come faster than we expect it to, for now I love the way these images stop time and capture a carefree day for Jay & Stephanie.
