Jenn & Billy’s snowy engagement session from last winter was one of my favorites of the season, but their warm weather Green Bay wedding this early fall most certainly didn’t disappoint. The first leaves were turning and Jenn & Billy embraced everything about their Green Bay roots, from getting married at his childhood parish church to brandy old fashioneds at the local townie bar, from relaxing in the sun amongst all the architectural playfulness at City Deck by the river to taking in spectacular reception views of Oneida lands and their fall foliage. It was a homecoming for them and a day filled with old friends and lots of family, their ordinary places and spaces made extraordinary by a wedding dress, a bow tie and two very important recently exchanged rings. I loved the familiar intimacy of the day they designed and the sweet, simple moments they shared that made the day theirs: a walk in a gorgeous field, a stroll by a river, taking in sunset, dancing to the band as if no one else was around.
