Nolan at 6 months | Wisconsin Fall Family Photographer

Baby Nolan James is growing up – as all babies do – but I think he’s doing a rather exceptional job of it. He’s perfected smiling and melting mama’s heart, making adorable faces and contemplating big beautiful lakes; he’s growing and learning and generally succeeding at being the best Nolan he can be. The last time I saw him he was just a newborn in his gorgeous Chicago nursery, but for his 6 month photo shoot he traveled north to enjoy a bit of Lake Michigan in fall. The result was that I’ve resolved to only photograph babies on the beach if their parents will let me get away with it! And these stunning pictures show why – morning sun mixed with a delightful beach towel and monochrome outfit to best show off Nolan’s chubby cheeks and handsome smile.  From woodland trail to beachy sand, Nolan played the part and I love the results ~
