Last summer I spent a day with Stephanie & Matt in Minneapolis where they have a home and jobs and a life that is already oh-so-sweet. In the heat of that Minnesota day we waxed poetic about the possibilities of them having a cozy, snowy winter day for their January wedding. Fast forward to January and I meet them again, totally buoyed by the delight that comes with knowing that everything they ever hoped for is coming true – and there you have it, their wedding day in one sentence. Everything they ever hoped for is coming true.
Matt dressed at the Iron Horse and Stephanie at the church, each as excited and bubbly as the champagne they would drink that evening. I loved how she asked for a moment of quiet before her dad saw her for the first time and how her niece stared at her in adoration all day. I loved how he doted on everyone, especially Stephanie, and suggested they practice their first dance one last time up on Pritzlaff’s romantic, sun-drenched third floor. It was there I saw them both melt, into one another, but also into the moment, the day, the meaning, the emotion, into being Mr. & Mrs.
