Annette & David met in Madison what seems like a lifetime ago – before they lived in Atlanta, before grad school, before they had their dogs, before they moved back to Wisconsin. I guess you could just say, Before, because now is all about Now. Now they are excited to be back in the land of old fashioneds and Packer fans, excited to be close to family again, excited to start real life post-school; Now Annette and David are really most excited about being married. Their May wedding was exactly as they imagined it and at the same time so totally different. They were supposed to get married outside on a grassy hill on the Pabst campus, but wind and rain drove the ceremony inside, and happily so. I love the Edison-light framed images of their cozy and warm I Dos from inside the captivating ballroom that is Turner Hall. I love how Annette’s crazy wonderful choice of ombre coral bridesmaid dresses and flowers pops against the dark aged columns of the room – how her vision of a southwestern -inspired palette with a little Boho charm totally played up the idiosyncrasies of the gorgeously crumbling architecture of the hall. But on a more personal note I love how the day and night were all about fun and family – so that meant customized beer coozies and great music, but also touching toasts from their now collectively large family, family style meals and being wed by one of David’s brothers. In the end, no rain or wind could dampen a thing about David and Annette’s grand entrance into marriage – so let me be among them many to welcome you back to Wisconsin and most of all, to welcome your life as husband and wife.
