Vicki & Kevin are a delightful pair of sweet souls. By turns they are elegant, thoughtful and incredibly responsible adults (he’s a surgeon and she’s a doctor after all) and the next minute they are little kids in grown up bodies – reading children’s lit quotes on their wedding day and talking about Disney princesses with kiddos. The latter certainly helps in Vicki’s practice as a pediatrician and I have a feeling that their ability to be playful and fun with one another is at the core of what makes them so happy together. With two super-serious jobs and living closer to work than to family, they’ve become each others confidant, best friend and playmate. Their wedding date was a showcase of their talents and big hearts, of how fiercely they love and strive, of how passionate they are in all the things they choose to do. And the biggest thing they’ve chosen to do so far is to marry one another. The day started with a family and friend filled tea ceremony where Vicki’s family from Hong Kong was able to share a bit of history and love and tradition with Kevin and with her. And then Vicki and Kevin shed their lucky red and wrapped themselves in soft blush and grey to welcome guests at the always gorgeous Milwaukee Art Museum. There they said I Do and toasted the night away with some of the funniest and most well-received speeches I’ve ever heard. It was a rip-roaring good time and one of the sweetest wedding days a couple could ask for.
