Samantha & Troy have a lot of changes upcoming in their lives. They are planning a wedding for this fall, but simultaneously they’re planning a big move that will have them saying goodbye to Illinois and calling Wisconsin home. New jobs, maybe a new name for Samantha – it’s all a lot to take on at once. But with their pup Kya steadfastly by their sides and together hand in hand they are making it happen and making it fun and making it part of their story. We’ll be there for at least one of those big milestones this October when they play host and hostess to their collectively large family and do things a little differently with a nighttime ceremony and a mix & mingle reception they hope will keep everyone happy and dancing and toasting the night away. Kya won’t be there on that day so she simply had to be with them for their engagement session where they meandered about one of Milwaukee’s lovelier parks, chatting and picnicking with german bier and pretzels at a local biergarten. It was easy and breezy and the light was simply gorgeous for Emily to work with as she photographed them with Kya. These images remind me that big changes aren’t that big a deal when you have the right person to make them with and clearly, Samantha and Troy have the right person.
