On a sunny summer day that Wisconsinites live through seemingly endless months of winter for, Nate & Julie said I Do. They exchanged vows and bound their lives together forever on the edge of the bluff in the backyard of Julie’s second family, under an arch made by a friend. The lake glistened to the east and their loved ones looked on from the west and in the middle of it all it was just the two of them. Julie’s brothers walked her down the grassy aisle and a cherished nephew was their constant companion all day. The cake was petite (and delicious), the flowers bold and the whole day was about fun and laughter. I love the DIY touches of their style that speak volumes about the kindof intimacy they want to have in their lives and the way that paired with their own versions of glam details – bridal Nikes and riotously colored socks for him and a daringly demure and jeweled backless gown with comfy Tom’s wedges for her. Emily captured it all joyfully as Nate & Julie made time to enjoy the sun and the beach nearby, to enjoy each other and to soak up every second of their perfect day.
