I first met Jennifer & Derek back in 2012 when they were planning their wedding at the Grain Exchange. They were excited about saying I Do under another soaring roof at the Cathedral of St John and treating guests to Chicago favorite Garret’s popcorn; She was no doubt planning her 20’s inspired hair style and he was just excited to make her his wife as they rolled happily, easily, blissfully into their sunny AND snowy April wedding day. Fast forward a few years and life is suddenly very different. Their adorable home is filled with pictures of that wedding day and the bountiful energy of their first (fur) baby, the smell of cozy fall candles burning and the sound of the postman knocking at the door. More items for their newest addition are arriving by the minute and Derek, now Daddy, is sleepy. Together Derek and Jennifer cuddle their new baby boy, happy to have him in arms, excited for the future football games they’ll watch together, the time in the yard and at the playground they’ll spend together, and of course, for a not-too-distant future where everyone gets 8 hours of sleep at night. I love how sweet and quiet and snuggly all four of them are in these photos, the first images from Wyatt’s new life, from Jennifer & Derek’s new life together.
