Callie & John were married on The.Perfect.Day at Bigfoot Country Club just down the shore from idyllic Lake Geneva in Fontana, Wisconsin. It was the end of September and the kind of day that Wisconsinites dream about – sunny and warm, with a golden light that makes everyone look good, crisp breezes occasionally blowing in off the lake and a content feeling that this is a day to be savored. Callie and John reveled in it and the day they designed to be relaxed and elegant, but homey and easy going. A long cocktail hour overlooking the gorgeous green and the first hints of orange at Big Foot followed their heartfelt and happy ceremony and guests were treated to humbly offered, brilliantly delivered toasts, tasty entrees and a rocking dance party under a romantically swagged ceiling. Throughout it all Callie and John constantly checking in on all in attendance, their penchant for taking care of people still prevalent on their day. I loved the location, the atmosphere (the totally surprising and amazing hint of blush on Callie’s train) and most of all, the love that was everywhere – it was, quite simply, the perfect way to spend a Saturday, with Callie and John as they became Mr. and Mrs, happily ever after.
