Samantha & Troy have rather magnetic personalities, which along with the fact of their mutually large families helps explain why they had a bridal party that numbered in the 20s and yet, the magic of their day was that they were still able to pull off a surprisingly intimate and personal atmosphere from beginning to end. Emily was there to capture how they did everything a little differently, mixing tradition with things that are just them, making sure that their personalities shone through all the weddingness of the day and that in the end it was a day and night all about fun and family. They met for their first look by the stunning waterscape that is Milwaukee’s harbor, meandered among willow trees just starting to turn colors and partied about town with their best friends in the world. Then as the sun set they gathered under the romantically lit portico of the Historic Pritzlaff Building and shared rings, wine and vows, recessing back down the aisle to cheers and high fives. Instead of a traditional reception they mixed and mingled while guests enjoyed a whiskey bar, a gelato bar, tasty appetizers and sweet toasts to the new family formed before their eyes. Cheers to doing things your way; cheers to Samantha & Troy!
