Laura & Brett’s November wedding day was sunny and bright, a day that continually promised to inspire nothing but smiles. Laura and her favorite women in the world kicked off the afternoon with an elegant brunch at her family home, complete with silver and crystal and all the coziness one’s childhood home can offer. Just 5 minutes away at her home parish Brett met his favorite guys in the world to don dapper suits and delicate bouts before drinking Laura in as she walked down Christ King’s wonderfully long aisle. A little shy apart, but totally engaging and comfortable together, Laura & Brett floated through their day, hand in hand and happy to make it all official. I loved the simple but bold choices Laura made – a BHLDN column dress with drippy cap sleeves plus a little feathery bolero to keep the chill off plus mixing navy with deep plum here and there – and how Brett looked classic, but elegantly casual, as ready to dance as toast and hug his new wife. I guess I loved how everything was a little traditional, always elegant, very personalized, and really, all about saying I love you forever.
