Over the last few years I’ve gotten to know Amanda, a super stylish wedding planner and small business owner who is rockin’ it every day. She’s a go to for brides and their families, but she’s also a go to for her husband, their puppies and their friends, and now she’s the most important person in the life of a tiny human named Mallory Eileen. Amanda and her husband never did an engagement session before their wedding and she’s usually putting other people in touch with photographers instead of engaging one for her own photos. So I was thrilled to photograph the two of them when Mallory was in her tummy and then again mid-March for Mallory’s newborn session. I loved sneaking a peak into Amanda’s stylish home life where grays and whites now flow softly into a pale pink and floral room for Mallory. Where marble and metal soften into a plush rocker and where lives a drawerful of the most lovely swaddles ever made, so to relaxes their dog Payton. Where soft light sweeps in from tall windows, Mallory’s room is perfectly outfitted for hours of reading and snuggling and of course, for sleeping. Their home is fuller now, like their hearts and their days; they are getting to know Mallory and marveling over all her particulars – how she smiles in her sleep, how soft and abundant her hair is, how much she changes everyday.
