Micaela & Jeremy have a how we met story to rival any good romantic comedy ever made. It’s a classic scenario, but one that never really happens; they met at a wedding – she was the Maid of Honor and he was the Best Man. They hit it off immediately and I love the idea that while they were working to make their friends’ wedding day the best possible their own wedding day began to be a real possibility. Micaela’s job takes her far from Jeremy (like, really, really far as she works in the foreign service) but he’s doing his best to stay as close to her as possible – recently moving from Chicago to her stateside home base in Virginia and pretty much dropping everything he can to spend time with her when she’s in the states. The effort and the intensity are mutual, and Micaela’s infectious laugh is louder, her smile wider whenever Jeremy is simply nearby. And he’ll be nearby even more next summer as they say I Do in an epic celebration of being home, being together and becoming a family.
