Kayla & Justin | Milwaukee County Historical Society Wedding

Kayla & Justin’s wedding day was a sweet mix of all the right ingredients: two people madly in love, two families already endeared to one another, a gorgeous setting and a crowd of guests eager to toast, to celebrate, to dance, to fall in love with love all over again. Emily was there for them and told me all about how it was so sweetly obvious that for Kayla & Justin the day was all about family. Justin’s brother officiated the ceremony and Justin’s ring was his dad’s, now engraved with two wedding dates and the word together. Their daughter Laura melted hearts with her big blue eyes and guests made the trip for them from all over the country and world. I know that Kayla & Justin were in so many ways already a family, already partners and soul mates before this day, but I love how clearly these images represent the ritual of family making, the ritual of declaring before all that I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.
