Vanessa & Gerardo | Chicago Cultural Center and Downtown Engagement Photography

I’ve met Vanessa & Gerardo in person only a hand full of times and every single time their departure leaves me feeling like my best friends have just left and I want to go after them for one more laugh, one more story, one more smile. Sometimes I try to get couples to tap into their romantic, more thoughtful or serious side during an engagement session, but with these two I knew it would be hopeless, and really why be serious when you can belly laugh, anyway? So instead they introduced me to the gorgeously crafted and lovingly gilded Chicago Cultural Center and played under the El; they meandered city streets with some serious style and, as always, made my face hurt with laughter. I can’t wait to be a part of their wedding day where I know I’ll get to hang out with them – my new old friends – the ones that are so in love that I can help but feel happy to be around them.
