Every now and again a wedding comes my way where I start the day with high expectations and by noon all I can think is: oh my goodness can this get any prettier? Leading up to Sara & Tyler’s day, all signs pointed to a lovely, luxe affair; after all, they had really brought the style and the smiles to their gorgeous engagement session so I knew they wouldn’t disappoint on the wedding day. But seriously, grab a cup of coffee, sit down at a real computer and invite a friend over to truly savor the lusciousness of this summer, lakeside, Persian-inspired romantic wedding styled to perfection. Sara & Tyler are truly an international couple as he is from Wisconsin, her family is in Dubai and they live in Toronto and that multicultural touch permeated the whole day to wonderful effect. Sara’s earring were custom made in Toronto while her dress is from an Israeli designer; guest were each gifted a delicate and decorative, hand-painted dish from Iran. Wisconsin-based pros Sugar River Stationers and Cherry Blossom Events brought it all together under a stunning floral arch for the ceremony and inside the new Edgewater’s candle-lit ballroom where a gilded cake and a visit from Bucky caught everyone’s attention. And aside from style there was all the stuff that really matters: authentically happy and proud parents, a lively bridal party there to support and affirm Sara & Tyler, and a host of friends and family gathered from all.over.the.world just to say We Love You.
