Elizabeth Claire, called Etta by her family, is a an adorable tiny human who represents love and hope and new beginnings for the lucky people in her life. While in her mama’s belly the family home caught fire and during the precious early weeks of her gestational life I think it’s safe to say it was a little crazy. But, delivered safely and perfectly, Etta was brought home to a new light filled place her parents are slowly but surely making their own. The fire took from them many personal and irreplaceable things but it also gave them something: perspective. So many things did make it out of the fire: the dog, the Rae Dunn mantra mugs (which I fell in love with during our shoot), the wedding album, the family. And that is what Etta’s birth has really illuminated – nothing, nothing, nothing else matters except life and love itself.
