Lauren & Ben have an adorable engagement story that involves Bublr bikes, faking a pulled hamstring and dodging the insistent if polite stares of fishermen by a lighthouse on Lake Michigan. That story says a lot about them and their urban lives in Milwaukee’s Third and Fifth Wards and the East Side, neighborhoods that they’ve loved exploring, dating and living in. So it is no surprise that their wedding will be in the city too, a classic and elegant affair that blends the old with new, and tradition with modernity as they say I Do at the Basilica and celebrate at the Art Museum. But for now as this fall comes to a close and we prepare for the coming winter that separates them from their summer wedding day we simply went for a walk and a drink in their part of town, a town they love to call home.
