Julie & Colin’s November wedding day was exactly what any Wisconsin fall wedding couple hopes for. It was crisp, but sunny, with colorful leaves still clinging to trees and the kind of atmosphere that makes one want to be outside enjoying a beverage with friends. Julie and Colin steeped themselves in the spirit of the day by making sure they stuck close to their neighborhood and favorite places, treating their bridal party to an afternoon at the (locally) world famous Leff’s and cuddling their beloved dog Norbie in the process. They married at the church they attend regularly just blocks from their house and invited Julie’s family priest to seal their vows. Julie kept an adventurous attitude all day and was willing to clamber riverside at Hoyt Park, a place they love to visit with Norbie on a regular day. At the reception she performed a west coast swing-inspired first dance with Colin, a dance style that Colin and his friends dearly enjoy and Julie is coming around to learning. Together they roused cheers from their guests and caused more than one standing ovation to happen throughout the night. It was a day when the ordinary turned extra-ordinary just because two people found each other and said Yes.
