A few seasons ago I photographed a wedding at the Wisconsin Club for one of the most thoughtful and intentional couples I have ever met. Katie & James’ wedding was happy and hopeful, and taught me a bit about seeking meaning in the world around us. Then and now, Katie & James savor their time together and their plans for the future. That future is a bit clearer these days as their baby Liam is recently arrived. Surrounded by his dad’s arms or sleeping on his mama’s chest, Liam is happiest cuddling and responds wonderfully to a little warmth and lots of love. Evidence of how wanted he was and is surrounds him at home – from the hand knit blankets grandma made for him to the closet overflowing with adorable outfits waiting for him to grow into. Liam is filling up his house in another way, too – with his very presence he’s transformed Katie & James’ love into a life, house into a home, and partnership into a family.
