Megan & Clayton are warm and inviting people – the kind of people who have 2 dogs and a cat and are probably holding back from filling their future house up with even more furry love. But I suppose that is only fitting considering she’s a veterinarian and their how we met story starts at her office where he spotted her and simply had to meet her. And really, any story that faithfully includes the line “I had to meet her” is bound to be a good one.
On this day in early spring I was lucky enough to meet them (and Spud, Diesel & Mitten) at Clay’s house on a larger piece of land that more or less backs up to a beautiful preserve area of trees, trails and water. Free from leashes and loosed into the woods, Spud & Diesel entertained each other and us, eliciting smiles and whistles from Megan & Clay. I loved chatting with them about their honeymoon plans and with that their current debate over how to get to see whales in Norway and kayaking versus hiking on the trip. Clearly these two love the outdoors and the happy exhaustion that comes from being active in fresh air – and I can tell, they love it best when they get to be outside together. Anywhere, everywhere – Together.
