I met Patrice & Max for the first time barely after sunrise on a gorgeous Chicago morning. Lincoln Park is their neighborhood and their happy place and when Patrice’s mom asked me to photographed their wedding I jumped at the chance to make our introductions on their (now) home turf. So while they will be getting married at Milwaukee’s gorgeous Art Museum next spring, this day was all about Chicago and the city they’ve grown to love together. They like to stroll through the Park, to see the lake, to see the animals, to be surrounded by green and green and more green. I love to watch couples explore places they know well, to watch how they see everything again for the first time just because a camera and a stranger are there and for Max this was exceptionally applicable. As we meandered through the zoo he talked about always loving the zoo, visiting with his family and growing up near Chicago. Patrice smiled and listened, reveling in the fact that she knows his stories, knows his past and can totally envision his (and her) future. It was a delightful morning and delightful peek into their world. Cheers to love, Chicago, Patrice & Max ~
