Every new baby is a love story. I’ve written this before – and in fact, I wrote it about Gage Ryan, a little babe born into my family not quite 3 and half years ago. Well, I am bursting with joy to write today that Gage’s little love story is still being written as he welcomed two baby sisters into his world earlier this summer. His tiny, totally different twin sisters Taryn & McKenna are miracles in miniature made doubly obvious by their abundance of toes and limbs that are never still, by their sweet, soft skin and obvious differences, by the mere fact that they exist. Really and truly, a new baby tells us that life goes on, but a healthy pair of twins lets me know that everything is alright in the world. Alright and beautiful and against the odds awesome. I am honored to be a tiny part of their story, an auntie and a witness to how much love flows through them – a witness to how much they have been hoped for, how much they are cared for, how much they are wanted. Think about that for a moment. How much they are wanted because, to me to be wanted and loved is the beginning and the end of everything. It is all that really matters.
