Elm Grove Family Photographer | Avery, Theo & Nolan + Mom & Dad

In some ways I feel like I grew up with Meg & Dan. Not the elementary to high school kind of growing up, but rather the kind where marriages happen, babies are born, condos are traded in for houses and suddenly there are three humans who call you mom kind of growing up. I first photographed Meg & Dan in Chicago and Oconomowoc as part of their wedding (which was insanely lovely – see it here) and have been honored to photograph their sons Nolan and Theo, as newborns and babies and then as toddlers. I missed out on the latest babe to join the family because they were living in San Francisco for a year when she was born. But now the whole crew is back in Wisconsin and we all met up on a sun-filled fall morning close to their new hometown of Elm Grove. Miss Avery greeted me with a gorgeous gummy, perfect baby smile and we simply played. It was beautiful chaos and the best kind of morning – full of people who love each other and are growing up together, one baby step at a time.
