Chantal & Travis are planning what promises to be a stunningly beautiful summer soiree in Travis’ home state of Wisconsin, but for now their days together are both limited and numbered. They are both busy students in graduate school in Arizona but plan on starting jobs in different states after graduation. They’ve always been pretty good at showing each other they care, at creating special dates and crazy, cool memories for each other, but now each day together is taking on a special significance. So when they were in Milwaukee for a whirlwind wedding planning weekend we snuck out between hair trials and video conferences and played in the snow. It was so simple and so fun and pretty new for Chantal, a California girl who loves the Arizona heat. But on this cool day by the river she laughed and loved sharing a new experience with her Travis, and he laughed and loved creating a new, sweet memory with his Chantal. Distance is hard, Distance while married may even be harder, but I’m convinced that if they can always remember to play in the snow and twirl by the river, pause to laugh and always look at each other like this, Distance won’t matter all.
