Paulette & Chris have water in their hearts – lakes, oceans, ponds – you name it and they want to be walking hand in hand beside it. In their dreamier moments they considered having a true destination wedding somewhere where drinks regularly come with umbrellas, but their big hearts and love for friends and family won out. They simply have too many people who adore them in their lives to travel out of country for their wedding. But no worries, this is not a sad story – it’s a story about compromise and happiness, faith in the future and celebrating with friends, about Chris and & Paulette writing their own day and exchanging vows close to the water. They’ll say their I Dos in Door County later this summer, that little peninsula of heaven and cherries that feels wholly like a destination in itself. So there may be fewer umbrellas in their drinks but their will be cups, and hearts and smiles overflowing with love for the joy that is these two souls who finally found each other.
