Dori & Andrew have a history together that spans states, countries and many years. They have a history together that they cherish and one that they are eagerly, confidently looking forward to building even more. They respect each other deeply and trust each other with everything. I could say they are madly in love, but I think it’s more important to note that they are deeply in love. Writing this makes it sound like we’ve known them for years, like maybe I am a grad school classmate of Dori or a military buddy of Andrew. I am none of these things. I’ve spent a total of maybe 12 hours with them and I could have written all of this within 12 minutes of meeting them.
Very simply there is no artifice about them and wow is that refreshing, enchanting even.
In fact, I think enchanted is pretty great way to describe their summer wedding celebrated on the shores of Lake Michigan in the state where Andrew grew up. Surrounded by family and friends they exchanged eternal vows under their elegant chuppah which stood bedecked in flowers and a family prayer shawl. They broke the traditional glass (untraditionally) together and they absorbed every sweet second of every sweet toast. Buoyed by love and a great band, they watched fireworks set off just for them over the lake. And throughout every moment they touched and held hands, just to remind themselves that this incredible day was not a dream.
