romantic milwaukee summer wedding military groom When I first photographed Jessee & Mike for their fall engagement session I ended up describing them as old souls. And man, oh man was I right. Their Milwaukee wedding day was brilliant- a day filled with sun and summer fun and in the middle of it all Jessee & Mike explored the city with an air of complete contentment and calm. They eschewed a large bridal party for an intimate experience that allowed them more time than usual together and we adored having the opportunity to capture them really sink into the awesomeness of their day. They met on the beautiful historical atrium steps of their hotel and made a lovely little city loop together, chatting about life and love, family and beauty, happiness and hope. All things that I couldn’t help but muse on from start to finish as these two stunned all.day.long. I can’t write enough about how much we enjoyed photographing Jessee & Mike and their emotional openness. They cried and genuinely laughed, embraced each other and every moment shared together including a few surprises. Mike made a dramatic demonstration of his love for Jessee by unveiling a 4 foot long “list” of things he loves about her during their vows. Jessee’s father brought in a favorite musician to perform his first dance with her and then little delights kept the whole day feeling rather effervescent. We love their Florida Gator cake toppers and all the wonderfully wild children that attended them. We love their bright and romantic color palette and their world travel inspired dining design. We love Jessee & Mike and their amazing love story.
