Ali & Hersh share many loves: love of family, love of travel, love of adventure. But one love that truly defines them is their love of food. Their wonderfully personalized wedding ceremony even used dining metaphors to describe their relationship – from the amuse bouche of their first meetings to how their evolving love story is not unlike a many-coursed meal. Their careers are in the food industry and they even planned their honeymoon to include world class restaurant locales and dream dinners. And I think that says something about them because Ali & Hersh don’t just love food for its momentary pleasure but rather, they love the way it gathers people, the way it can take you anywhere you want to go, the way flavors and ingredients speak volumes about families and culture. They love the way it plays center stage to so many of their favorite memories, the way enjoying it can so often mean enjoying life. And enjoying life together as partners, loves, soulmates and best friends is what Ali & Hersh promised to do on their Milwaukee wedding day at the Historic Pritzlaff Building. With family and friends gathered from across the country and world, Ali & Hersh were awestruck by toasts that spoke to the exquisite blending of their families, by tossed petals that spoke to blessings and joy, by how wonderful it was to eat, drink and be merry with all their favorite people in the world for one powerful reason: Love.
