Laura & Dan had a wedding filled with friendship and family and when I write filled with I mean to the brim. And I think that’s because Laura & Dan as individuals are easy to like and as a couple they are a light shining on everyone around them. Open hearted and quick to laugh, they love to share a craft brew with friends and to show off their beloved city of Milwaukee. So it made total sense that they chose to exchange their vows on the water’s edge, nestled between the soaring wings of the Art Museum and our city’s eastern most buildings, keeping the celebrations going into the night overlooking the lake. We loved how they made sure their moms and dads felt important and central to their day, how they made time for friends and fun between getting ready and the ceremony, how they looked deeply into one another’s eyes and really felt the significance of every moment. Their rose petal bar at the ceremony framed it best, I think: Laura & Dan value many things, but perhaps most of all they hope their lives will be filled with joy, love, adventure and wisdom and every single soul at their wedding has the same hopes for them. With the kind of family and friends Laura & Dan are holding close by them I think they’ll have all of those blessings – in abundance.
