In this particular season of Thanksgiving I am humbled. I do not know the exact reasons as each day I try to put to words the fact that I feel so… impressed by the existence of Great Love. I am impressed by real people who feel immensely connected to other humans – impressed by the awe-some task of recording the tidal waves of love and devotion that our couples and their families invite us to witness. There is so much I worry about these days but a day spent with Whitney & Aaron was exactly what my big heart needed to again be firm in the belief that there is so much love and hope and simple kindness in the world. Whitney & Aaron are thoughtful – as in Thought-Full – and their wedding day showed every bit of their compassion and care for others as they took time to connect with every guest, every friend, every one who made the effort to be a part of their celebration at Shorewood’s The Atrium. I could tell you little details about them like the fact they they are both crazy smart, that he is a FANatic level soccer fan, that Chicago is home but really anywhere their pup Ella lives is probably home, that he cares A LOT about food and that their parents and sibs adore them. But really all that matters is that Whitney chose Aaron and Aaron chose Whitney and forever begins now. So breathe deeply, my friends, love is in the air.
