Molly & Jason’s wedding was the stuff of love songs and romantic comedies, full of moments to make the heart break open with joy and songs to make you want to dance in the moonlight on a beach. There was an abundance of parental pride, too many belly laughs to count, style for days with shoes you’ll want to steal and a flash mob lovingly practiced at home across multiple states and performed to the utter surprise and delight of Molly & Jason.
It was not a wedding day. It was a wedding weekend, a Wedding Experience.
And that, my friends IS Molly & Jason.
Well-traveled, adventurous, the best host & hostess around, Molly & Jason are the kind of people who think about the little things that make their lives more richly experienced and then they strive to share that with their family & friends. They are both music geeks and we adored finding out little, but emotionally momentous tidbits about them through their toasts – like the fact that their love story starts with sharing mix tapes. Or the fact that Molly has a soundtrack for every year and that music is their shared love language. I’ve never wished so much for sound on this blog as I would love to share my own mix tape with them – it would include a little mariachi and some salsa to kick off the weekend, but would have to include some 90s hip hop for getting ready on the wedding day. John Legend would round the corner into the first time Molly & Jason see each other before the ceremony and the Lumineers would propel them into I Do. A little Marvin Gay and Al Green would get us through toasts and then boom: N*Sync for a flash mob right into every Rihanna/Beyonce/Luda/just-right-for-fireworks-and-glow-bracelets-on-the-beach dance jam I can think of.
Cheers Molly & Jason: your love is inspiring, hopeful, warm and wonderful – just like you. I hope you see and feel that here, because anyone lucky enough to be in your orbit most certainly thinks of you that way, too.
