Ashley & Andrew’s wedding day was a lovely mix of Favorite Places meets Favorite People and the result was an ingeniously intimate, personalized, and all out delightful day. They are the kind of people who are used to designing experiences and making plans, so it was no surprise that their wedding was out of the ordinary, but who knew it was possible to so successfully mix city touring with nature hikes and urban dining AND get married in the middle of it all? Apparently Ashley & Andrew did! Their day started a few miles apart, Andrew getting ready at home while Ashley dressed in her exquisite lace BHLDN dress in the surrounding glamor of the Hilton Garden Inn. On the soaring atrium steps of the hotel Andrew caught his first glimpse of her. From that moment they happily raced into their day, ever hand in hand, ever conscious of the fact that this was Finally The Day when they could call one another husband and wife. They moseyed on decked trails at Schlitz Audubon and spied turkeys in the woods, walked on the beach and generally enjoyed the camaraderie of souls gathered to celebrate their love. They made promises and affirmed their excitement for the baby soon to join their lives (yep, Ashley and Andrew are having a baby!) They took a boat ride and cast loving eyes not only on each other but on the city they have come to call home. Their families joined them in enjoying all the little experiences of the day, approaching each mini-adventure like the gift from Ashley and Andrew that it was. Over family style dinner at Onesto they toasted and danced, shared cake and stories, and very simply, said yes to life and love and family.
