Elle & Sam | Boerner Gardens Engagement Photography

Elle & Sam are both nurses which speaks volumes about them as it’s my opinion that people who dedicate their lives to the healing, care and comfort of others are pretty likely to be people I want to be around. Elle & Sam proved the rule during our sweet sunset engagement session with their rescue dog Ro. They invited me to enjoy the big shade tree in their yard, walk their favorite paths close to Boerner Botanical Gardens, and to simply exist in their orbit for a short while. And it was simply lovely. Lovely to see them melt into one another as they meandered over the big fields of the park. Lovely to see them laugh and grow more comfortable in front of the camera. Lovely to witness the care they have for each other, each clearly precious to the other. They’ll celebrate the wedding this fall at Villa Terrace and I can’t wait to be surrounded by a different kind of garden and greenery with them on that day. And while it will surely be more formal, I am certain it will be just as lovely as these quiet moments close to home.
