Ben & Ev & Baby #3 | Wauwatosa Family Photography At Home

Erika & Dave have been a part of my photography life for many years now. I met them when they were planning their wedding and I’ve photographed them in their first house and with their fur baby, with their two new babies and with babies in the belly. We often end up at the beach on their sessions and we always laugh, commiserate, catch up and have a sweet time together. And I can honestly say that this most recent session has me more excited than ever to be a part of their story. Benjamin is nearing school age and excited to play with toys, show off new scooter & biking skills, and to enjoy ice cream cones whenever possible.  His sister Evelyn is a walker now, wants to join in all the fun her big brother is having and loves her best bud Alki, perhaps one of the best dogs you’ll ever meet. And soon to join this already awesome family is baby #3. So for this session we didn’t go to the beach or explore the city or anything out of the ordinary. Instead we celebrated the total now, this moment just before they become a family of five. There was a tour of the new-to-them-house and crying and tickles and bribery and laughter, swinging and walking and scooting, chasing balls and snuggling close. It was pretty perfect.
