Katy & Mike are having a whirlwind One-For-The-History-Books kind of 2019. They moved their lives from Colorado to Wisconsin, bought a house, Katy started a new job, planned a honeymoon and oh yes, in the middle of it all a wedding has been designed, too. That wedding will be in just a few weeks on what everyone hopes will be a gorgeous midwestern day. In any weather event it promises to be a sweet and stylish country club affair filled out with Katy & Mike’s nearest and dearest. In other words: it will be perfect. But before we get to their July wedding day I had to meet them (!) Before last week I had only met Katy & Mike over a call so I soaked up the love and light that defines their new home when I met them in person for their engagement session. We quite literally kicked off our shoes and explored their abundant yard, empty-for-a-little-while-longer rooms, and made a little photo magic with tree shadows and sunlight. It was a delightful way to spend an afternoon and I love how these images speak to time stilled at a lovely, improbably beautiful and new moment in their lives that can only be defined as the beginning of forever.
