With its romantic blooms and classic details, a stunning dress and sentimental moments to cherish, Claire & Nick’s September wedding day was simply lovely. Nick started his day at Claire’s house, surrounded by his twin brother and friends, but perhaps most notably a little kitten that insisted on getting some of the attention. Claire dressed at Milwaukee’s classic Pfister Hotel, where the gilded architecture paired perfectly with her gorgeous column gown and nieces and nephews swirled around offering bits of joy to their soon to be married auntie. Rain loomed all day but never washed out the air of excitement and happiness that defined the day; rather, it simply gave a bit of sparkle to the scenery that would soon greet one of the world’s newest married couples. Before the wedding Lake Park Bistro already held a place of honor in their shared history as that is where Nick proposed to Claire. In honor of that perfect night, the Chef’s Table was once again set up for them and Bartolotta’s staff outdid themselves with exquisite service and the best dining this side of Paris. And amidst the hilarious toasts (roasts?) and great band sets, tasty desserts and Marquette celebrations it really was exactly what a wedding should be: all about making a new family and celebrating two people choosing forever, together.
