Rachel & Ryan more or less grew up together, apart. At one time they rode the same school bus and their parents’ homes were separated by less than a mile. But this is no high school sweetheart story, it is something that might just be even better: it’s a Pulaski Polka Days Love Story. Yes, you read that right! College may be a time to spread one’s proverbial wings, but it is also a time when trips back home can be wonderfully nostalgic & sweet and that’s what Polka Days was for these two: a chance to come back home from college life and catch up with friends. But instead of a simple reunion Rachel “met” Ryan and tried to teach him to polka. From there they created a long distance friendship that quietly but surely grew into something more, something amazing, something forever. They’ll tie the knot next year in Green Bay but for now I am thrilled to write that these two are soaking up the seasonal sunshine and enjoying this unusual summer with a lot of home cooked meals and walks through the city. And maybe a polka practice or two?
